Photo Challenges

Hey everyone!

I'm entering some photo challenges!  I don't really know if they're challenges exactly, but I still love to enter them. :)

I was feeling a little fallish today.  Probably since the weather is so cruddy outside!  Bleh. :P
Hope things are nice where you all live.

I love it, Brooke! The golden bokeh in the background is just perfect. Thanks so much for entering!

Unfortunately the weather is very unlovely outside here too. ;)
I love all the bokeh in your photos, Brooke! The focus and colors are all so crisp. I've probably asked you this before, but what camera/lens(es) do you use?

Thanks Emily and Mary Ann!

I have a Nikon d3000. Most photographers that I've seen use Cannon, but I like Nikon. The lens I probably used on these ones is a Nikkor 18-55mm, but I also have a Sigma 70-300mm, which I LOVE.

Thanks for commenting. :D

Thanks for following me, Mary Kate!
And, Lizzie, thanks for the correction. I just thought they were some place to link up, not an actual challenge. :P Thanks for hosting it!

I'm thinking about buying the 70-300 lens. I'm glad to hear you like it! Do you think it's good for macro? since it has "macro" in the name, I was wondering :)

I think it's great. It focuses very nicely, and the pictures are sharp and clear.
The only problem is that it doesn't have any kind of vibration reduction, so if your subject is moving or you're too far away, it's hard to keep your hand steady.
Overall, though, I think it's a great buy, considering the price of the actual Nikon/Cannon lenses.

I love getting comments. It makes my day when someone posts a nice comment. So, by all means, please comment!
